The NEWS Score Training 2 Online Course provides healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical understanding of the National Early Warning Score (NEWS). This training focuses on recognising and responding to deteriorating patients, recording and escalating concerns appropriately, and applying evidence-based approaches to clinical emergencies such as sepsis, CPR, severe bleeding, and anaphylaxis. Participants will strengthen their technical and non-technical skills to support safer patient care.
This CPD-accredited online training runs for approximately 1 hour and awards 1 CPD point upon successful completion. Learners will gain essential skills in patient observation, emergency escalation, and structured response techniques using the ABCDE approach. The training also integrates practical knowledge of CPR, defibrillation, and management of critical conditions. A certificate of completion is awarded, valid for revalidation and professional development.

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

Meets Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) CPD requirements:

35 hours of CPD required every 3 years.
